Building Baby's Room: Part 7

Will loves his room.  (Well, he hasn't complained...).  The bedding turned out great.  I love how all of the fabrics look together & the colors work well.  The bumper turned out a little too big... and I've been too lazy to fix it, hence the overlapping corner.  But that corner allows Catan, Will's sock monkey, to look over him while he sleeps.

On the opposite wall, we hung this beautiful picture of Christ, (a wedding gift from a family member), a clock we painted grey, (also a wedding gift from a good friend), and a little print we found at Goodwill for a few bucks.

It's a little watercolor that echoed the feel of the room pretty well.

Right next to Will's door we hung this mirror, (2 bucks at a garage sale & painted white), one of my old  monkey beanies, and another little watercolor from Goodwill.

Will loves this monkey.  Every day we stop by the mirror so Will can look at himself and check out the monkey.  Will makes funny faces at him, and lately, he has even started reaching for him.

Goats on a mountain.  Classic. :)

We finally got a light fixture as Will's room didn't have one installed yet.  The shade is from World Market (maybe $30-40), and the fixture is from Ikea (cheap).

As a side note, Will holds his binkie now.  If only he knew how to put it back in his mouth once he's ripped it out...

In the bookshelf, (which turned out great, although I don't have a picture of the whole thing), we have all of Will's books!  The majority of the books are thrifted, but a few are gifts as well.

The letters were made by our good college friend.  I like them because they feel very Willy Wonka-ish!   I also have been collecting the Disney Classic Storybooks.  Each one was thrifted, (between 10 cents and $3).  And the ball is from Great Papa Logsdon.

And towards the bottom is Grant's old dinosaur!  Grant was obsessed with dinosaurs as a kid, and it worked out perfectly that him mom saved this one, and it's the colors of Will's room.

And of course, the mobile, which turned out great.  We found the sticks at Roxborough Park, spray painted them, glued the birds on, and hung them together with fishing wire.  Basically free.  Awesome.
