Fourth of July

It indeed happened over a month ago... but here's the recap of our 4th of July.

We headed to Town Center for a few adventures.  Will loved the carriage ride and the horses.

He got a balloon animal; a dog, of course.

And then we waited in line for the bounce house for 30 minutes.

He was the 1st one in the bounce house and was jumping all over the place...

Until the big kids started funneling in...

And he had a mini-meltdown...

He refused to move from that spot in the middle.  The bouncy house was a little full, and a little crazy, and Will was frozen with fear.

We eventually convinced him to crawl over to the side and he felt much better bouncing over there.

After all the excitement, (and almost having to go into the bounce house ourselves to get Will to leave), we headed to Freddy's for a custard cone.

Man, that stuff is good.

Happy (belated) Fourth!

This is why he's "the cutest"

Sweet little sir has taken quite the liking to broccoli.

On this day, (probably 6 weeks ago...), he found a big head of broccoli in one of the grocery bags and carried it around for a few hours, taking bites off the top whenever it tickled his toddler fancy.

He can certainly be picky when it comes to eating, but for some reason broccoli has made the list.

Last week, he found a bag of frozen broccoli in the freezer and dug out a few pieces to munch on.

What a strange, adorable child.

Cutest.

The Duck Pond

We've been working on painting our new laundry cabinets (see here), and with all those paint particles in the air, I decided to take Will on a walk to the duck pond.

On our last visit to the pond, he tried to feed the bird milk with his sippy cup...

But mostly he just chases them around...

And climbs rocks...

And looks irresistibly adorable...

And no duck pond visit is complete without a visit to every mailbox along the way.

Will's got his system down.  Find a rock, open the door, place the rock inside, close the door.  Repeat.

It must be very therapeutic...

I'm so so happy that the weather is finally warming up.  We're excited for all the biking, hiking, playing outside, and lots of home projects.

Rock Star line-up.

Bustin' a move.

Easter eggs.  Loved it.

Shoes too big, running too fast = wa-bonk.

Dry-run for his first camping experience.

Busy season at work.  A flattering award.
